WildcardAugust 21, 2010 ::: 5 - 7 p.m. ::: Underneath the Ferris Wheel at Shoreline Drive / Just after Flugtag Self-built singer/songwriter Mike Pinto and his band—just returning to Southern California from a nationwide tour—will perform their brand of storytelling ska-reggae-surf rock on a solar-powered stage, just below the The Pike’s Ferris wheel at the southernmost end of Pine Avenue. A special, last-minute addition to SAM 2010, Wildcard will take place just after the Red Bull Flugtag challenge on the waterfront in Shoreline Village. BuskerFestDELTA SPIRIT / CRYSTAL ANTLERS / JAY BUCHANAN August 28, 2010 ::: 5 p.m. - 11 p.m. ::: First & Linden ::: East Village Arts District : MAP More than a dozen local bands-turned buskers will compete for wooden nickles and a chance to win five full days of recording time at Compound Studio in Long Beach. To close out the night, nationally celebrated (but still local) bands Delta Spirit, Crystal Antlers and Jay Buchanan will take over the neighborhood. 5:15 PM – 7:15 PM : Buskers Compete / Join us!
